First question

My first floor building has its surface adjacent to the ground. I want to calculate the Ground temperature at building surface. e+ declared in the documentation that a temperature 2 degree less than the zone temperature works for American buildings. Is there a way to make some estimation of such adjacent temperature of the surface?

By default I have the following settings Site:GroundTemperature:BuildingSurface, 20.03, 20.03, 20.13, 20.30, 20.43, 20.52, 20.62, 20.77, 20.78, 20.55, 20.44, 20.20

Second question

I simulated my model and I got in the EIO file with the following output: FCfactorMethod, Shallow and Deep. SUch temperatures (FCfactorMethod, Shallow and Deep) remain always the same althought I changed the Site:GroundTemperature:BuildingSurface. Why?

Best regards.

@Aaron Boranian The post declared about some auxiliary software, but, it looks that such software has been already integrated i the program? I am not sure how Kiva works. I am wondering if I have to simulate e+ with Kiva component first, read the average montly temperatures "somewhere" and plug such temperatures in the component Site:Ground Temperature Building Surface and delete the component Kiva.

Did you solve your problem? I have the same question. I have Lisboa values and want to change for Porto. In a tutorial that i have, they open eplaunch and in Utilities separator, they have the option Utility:Slab and then they run that. But my eplus version don't have that. So for Lisboa i copied the values from that tutorial. But now for Porto i can't do that. I already downloaded the weather data file, but there is something missing.
