Just installed OpenStudio v2.9.1 on a new Dell laptop computer, and it crashes on startup. The initial screen shows for a few seconds, with a message about loading libraries, then it disappears.

I know this isn't much to go on, but thought I would check to see if others are having success with this version and whether there are any suggestions for troubleshooting. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and have also re-downloaded the installation file.

@Erik Kolderup sorry you are seeing this. When you launch OpenStudio, are you just launching the application, are you you double-clicking an OSM file. If you are double clicking an OSM try just launching the application without directly loading an OSM file. If this still crashes on launch then try to delete or rename the BCL directory under your user account and then re-launch OpenStudio again. It will be in path like C:\Users\yourname\BCL. If you still see crash with clean BCL directory and clean machine restart please let me know what version of windows you are using.

Thanks for the quick response. I was opening the app directly. I don't see a BCL directory. In my users directory, there is an OpenStudio folder that includes a Measures folder (C:\Users\erik\OpenStudio\Measures), which is empty. But no BCL folder.

@Erik Kolderup, let's move the convo to github where we can freely exchange information and aren't limited by the Q&A format: https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/is...
