I'm creating a multistory complex in order to run energy calculations in Energyplus, using SketchUp to create the geometry. I'm getting an error regarding non-convex surfaces and would like to know the quickest fix as I have many. If the reason for the error is for shadowing/daylighting, will leaving non convex surfaces that do not have windows change the results of the simulation? Will the model run if I were to leave these errors?

I´d try to split those surfaces that are non-convex into several convex surfaces.

Convex surfaces are those that comply with the following: If you trace a line between all the vertices, none of these lines falls outside the surface.

I would suggest you check out this other UnmetHours post "Non-convex surfaces in EnergyPlus". I think that one should answer your question.
