Error in when replacing new chiller

asked 2019-12-05 13:28:39 -0600

I was working with DOE prototype building in OpenStudio. I have its own chiller and plat loop set. In the setting, all the size are calculated by auto size. But when I tried to replace it with a chiller in library fatal error occurred in running the simulation. The only difference that I've noticed is COP and PLR characteristic of the chiller. I don't know what else I should have done?

Here are the errors:

** Severe ** <root>[Chiller:Electric:EIR][90.1-2013 WaterCooled Centrifugal Chiller 0 718tons 0.6kW/ton] - Missing required property 'chilled_water_inlet_node_name'.
** Severe ** <root>[Chiller:Electric:EIR][90.1-2013 WaterCooled Centrifugal Chiller 0 718tons 0.6kW/ton] - Missing required property 'chilled_water_outlet_node_name'.
** Fatal ** Errors occurred on processing input file. Preceding condition(s) cause termination.

What does the error message say?

I corrected my question.

The error message is pretty informative: you seem to have a chiller in your model that isn't connected on the Chilled Water side.

This likely means that the original Chiller from the DOE prototype is still connected on the Condenser Loop, you have to remove it from that loop too.
