Hello, all! I have a question when doing the energy simulation using EnergyPlus. I want to simulate the energy consumption of the fan in the ventilation system. There are multiple fans in my system. Can I use just one fan equivalent to multiple fans? In this case, do I have to multiply the fan consumption by the number of fans I have? Thanks a lot!

The short answer is yes. Do you have all the design parameters for the fans (flow rate, brake horse power, horse power, total static pressure, etc.)?

Besides the comment above, I think it depends on if all these fans have the same schedule as well. But if you need to calibrate the model later and they are big fans, it is better to model them separately.
