Hi. I am new to modeling in OpenStudio and I have a simple problem that I can't fix. Does anyone how can I "turn off" the heating and cooling loads for a period of time? since the building I m simulating isnt working whole year.

Thanks

If you want your equipment to stop running during a fixed period of time, change the availability schedule of the equipment but leave the Thermostats alone. If your space is occupied more than 5% during thos times, you will get an unmet load hour.

One thing you can do is to set the heating and cooling thermostats to temperatures that will not be reached (i.e. set heating setpoint to 0 degC and cooling to 40degC for the period(s) you do not want it to run). You can do this by editing your schedules. Check out this video for help on editing schedules: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCcxr...

Hope this helps!
