Hello everyone,

There are three methods for detection of glare source when using evalglare. There is nothing in my model of office such as a table or a computer. How to choose a suitable method when I use evalglare in radiance ?

If I want to use fixed value threshold what should this fixed value be set to , 2000cd/㎡ ?

Thanks

Hi,

yes the 2000 cd/m² is a recommended threshold value to use, if you are going for the threshold method.

Now, on which particular method to use (factor, threshold, task area), it depends on the scene. In short, if there is contrast glare you should use the task method, and if there is saturation glare you should use the threshold method. You can read details on why this is true from: https://www.researchgate.net/publicat...
