Hello everyone,

I have been trying to run the default project singlefamily-detached, but in a specific location. I read the documentation and it recommends the following : "Downselect Logic Logic that specifies the subset of the building stock to be considered in the analysis. Specify one or more parameter|option as found in the resources/options_lookup.tsv. (This uses the same syntax as the Apply Upgrade measure.) For example, if you wanted to only simulate California homes you could enter Location Region|CR11 in this field (CR refers to “Custom Region”, which is based on RECS 2009 reportable domains aggregated into groups with similar climates; see the entire custom region map)."

I have tried entering "Location Region| CR11" or "Location|AL_Birmingham.Muni.AP.722280". Both times when I run it, it has resulted in total datapoint failure. Is the format wrong? Should I instead manually change the weights in the location and location-region .tsv files under housing characteristics in the project folder.

Thanks in advance!

Do the datapoints run successfully when you leave out the downselect logic?

Yes, they do run properly otherwise.

We have been downselecting by manually changing the weights under the housing characteristics in project folder.

There was previously an issue with datapoints that were not included in the downselect logic (e.g., from your example above those datapoints that weren't "Location Region|CR11" or "Location|AL_Birmingham.Muni.AP.722280"). The issue should now be fixed. Update to the latest master branch of https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio-Bu....

I just updated to the latest master branch and it seems it still does not work? Instead of total datapoint failure I now am getting "completed invalid workflow". Is there another solution for fixing location in the model?

Thanks!

Also do you know how to open a .rdd file? I am trying to find options for my output from the energy plus .rdd file.

Indeed "completed invalid workflow" will show up for any datapoint that was filtered out due to downselection. You should still see some successful simulations for datapoints that match your downselect logic.
