Does BEopt have a setting to control for differences in delivered vs estimated efficiency in Optimization mode i.e., a safety factor or margin of error?

asked 2019-06-26 09:09:12 -0600

Can the Optimization tool settings be adjusted so that upgrades are only selected if they deliver x% (e.g., 80%) or greater of the savings they are projected to deliver? A goal is to have a known x% confidence factor in the selected measures.

As a workaround, could you reduce all electricity and fuel rates by 20% to accomplish such an optimization?

BEopt does not have this capability. The optimization search is solely driven by the user-specified y-axis metric (e.g., life cycle cost) and x-axis metric (e.g., source energy savings).
