I am modeling an window opening controlled by temperature activated smart materials(shape memory alloys) in EnergyPlus EMS. What do you think the best way is?

Methods I thought:

1- EMS Actuator component type: airflow network window/door opening EMS actuator component control type: venting opening factor EMS Sensor: Surface Outside Face Temperature Airflow network: multi zone: surface: set max opening factor

2- EMS actuator components type: surface EMS actuator component control type: construction state Fenestration surface: detailed: subdivide the fenestration surfaces into smaller sections and control construction state actuator in EMS

Which one is better, or is there any other more suitable way?
