Measure of light and temperature specifically of a solar panel

Hi. Can I use openstudio to analyse the effects of sun on a solar panel overtime? (Like values of light measurement and the change of temperature provoked by the sun on the surface of the panel, and also the energy that the panel is providing.) Can I model any solar panel?

I'm searching and I've found some answers (1, 2 and 3). However, I still don't know if openstudio is best suited for what I want to do as there are other programs out there that can analyse the effects of light. Any help would be very welcome.

Thank you in advance.

There are a few models you can use for a PV panel in Energylus.
PhotovoltaicPerformance:Simple
PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode
PhotovoltaicPerformance:Sandia
The documentation is quite long, so you'll have to look each up in the Input Output Reference to determine which one is appropriate. I'm sure one of them will be detailed enough for you.

For the light measurement, panel temperature, and power output, those are all output variables of the PV related objects.

Keep in mind that not all EnergyPlus objects are available in Openstudio yet, so you might have to add these Output:Variable objects in the IDF file that Openstudio produces.
