Appendix G Cooling Tower, System 8

Hi, I'm modeling a cooling tower for the baseline building with E+ 8.5.

The cooling tower must be autosized with 1.15 factor (https://comnet.org/383-cooling-towers). I'm using the object "CoolingTower:TwoSpeed". As I read from the documentation, from the capacity I get the air flow rate, and finally the fan power.

How can I autosize it? Is the field "High speed nominal capacity"? The pont is that it can't be "autosize" if I'm not wrong.

Thank you

If you want to autosize a cooling tower, choose your tower Performance Input Method to be UFactorTimesAreaAndDesignWaterFlowRate it can be auto-sized if you leave the default values.

As for the oversizing factor required by code, change your Sizing:Parameters Cooling Sizing Factor to 1.15.

Thanks, it works. I'm only concerned about one thing, in the html I get a cooling tower capacity that is almost 50% of the chiller capacity, even if they are both "autosize"
