Parametric Analysis Tool (PAT) error
Hi there,
I'm trying to run 50 simulations on the Amazon cloud in PAT. But the progress bar shows there is ''Analysis Error'' (''Error downloading OSMs'', Error ID: 8f40c891) and the simulation cannot start.
In the cloud setting, my Server Status is okay, but Cluster Status has a red cross. I checked Amazon Console, it seems like my Instance is running fine.
Does anyone know where might went wrong? Thanks a lot.
What version of OpenStudio are you using? are you using algorithmic mode, and if you are did you see the 50 datapoints populate in the run tab?
Thanks for your reply, David. I'm using OS2.4.0. I'm using the manual mode. Yes I see the 50 datapoints. When I try running it on the cloud, it shows ''Analysis Error''. Strangely Amazon cloud did charge me even though I didn't get anything running. When I try running it locally, it shows ''Server Error''. I tried the steps listed in https://unmethours.com/question/22431... but they didn't work. When I click ''Ping Server and Set Status'', it shows me ''Server is Offline''.
There have been a lot of server stability fixes between 2.4.0 and 2.8.0. Is there any reason you can’t try the newer 2.8.0 installers, such as not wanting to change EnergyPlus versions? https://www.openstudio.net/downloads
You could try to send me the file, but I would probably have to running in a newer version of PAT anyway. To send file follow these steps
Have you been able to run other projects successfully with this installation of PAT on your computer?
Also when you launch PAT, and make a new project (without doing anything else, does the server status on the run tap (for local) go to a green checkmark? Try this after a fresh computer restart.
Hi David. I successfully ran a project with OS2.4 before, but not OS2.8. I restarted my computer, created a new project, and the local server still has a red cross. I already turned off the firewall but http://localhost:8080/ still can't be reached.
@Glacieria I'm running the analysis you sent now. One thing I noticed is that while you have a weather file setup it wasn't assigned for design alternatives. I fixed that before I kicked off the run.
Can you let me know what operating system you are using. I don't think there is an issue with the project, but rather something specific to your configuration.
Can you also do to the
View
and thenToggle Developer Tools
menu item to open up a console at the right of the GUI. See it this has errors. You can also then `Toggle Debug Message".@David Goldwasser Thank you. I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit. I just assigned weather to the alternatives. The error message is:
