Hi all! I am working on a research about roof strategies to produce passive cooling on hot climates. Here in Brasil, it is very common this type of ceramic roof tiles that interlocks, with the upper tile shading the inner one. I have tried to find articles on this matter, but not with success. I wonder if anyone has any comments on how i could model this on grasshopper/honeybee/energyplus. The only option i thought about was to put another thermal zone (about 5cm high) on top of the roof surface, to simulate the effect of the two ceramic plates, but still with this option, i wouldn’t know the percentage of “shaded” area would be needed to have an accurate simulation. Thank you!!!
