solar combisystem modeling and optimization
I am in need of urgent help as I have thesis defense in about month and am struggling with the results from optimization.
I am doing solar combisystem modeling and optimization including building variables. I tried two things.
First, tried optimization of LCC just using solar combisytem variables.
Second, tried optimization of LCC using both building and solar combisystem variables.
Both cases, genopt terminates with same error which is attached herewith the mail. I do not have output from the building variables except monitoring temperature of the zone used somewhere else in the model to calculate HUSP. Does the optimization require me to define output from TYPE 56 such as total heating energy or something else to proceed with optimization ?

You did not "attach" any error information
@dhollman I am sorry I could not attach because it said I need greater than 10 points to attach that file. I am new to this forum so I don't know what points its talking about. Further I figured out the error but another error pops up where it says "genopt.lang.OptimizerException: File: 'C:\Users\User\Desktop\WithAL\tmp-genopt-run-1\hereforerror' does not exist after simulation call."
"Hereforerror" is the file name I specified for the log/lst file, I don't know the difference between them yet. Even if I specify "hereforerror.lst" or "hereforerror.log" as file name it prompts same error.
I resolved this issue. We need to specify the full path for all the template files even if it is located in the same folder. For example, I had specified full path for the .dck file but not for the .b18 file. The building file also need the full path not a reference path.
