I'm modeling a GSHP loop, with secondary loops for radiant heating and cooling, and DHW. I'm using the water-to-water heat pump component to transfer heat from the GSHP loop to the secondary loops. The component doesn't seem to be working at all and I can't figure out what's going wrong.

GSHP loop is set up like this, with the water-to-water heat pump on the demand side. image description

Radiant hot water loop is set up like this as an example, but all of the secondary loops are similar and not working image description

Can you elaborate on how you've determined that the WSHP is the problem?

Also, in your HW loop, why do you have two sets of pumps? I'm wondering how they interact with one another.

I'm assuming that's the problem because it's being used in all three loops and none of them are working. There is no DHW energy being recorded and the zones with radiant objects aren't getting any heating/cooling. I guess it's possible that something else is going wrong but it seems like the heat pumps are the common factor.

The second set of pumps is set up because the system is designed as a primary/secondary loop. The loop is set as a two-way common pipe.

This issue sounds very similar to what's happening with my model, but it looks like this was resolved. https://github.com/NREL/EnergyPlus/is... I'm wondering if it's a related problem?

I had a similar problem with the HeatPump:WaterToWater:Heating:EIR component of Energyplus 9.1. I had a very simple hot water loop that was working in the demand side, but in the supply side the heat pump wasn't requesting any water flow.

The problem was that I had added a bypass pipe in the supply loop. All the water flow was going through the bypass pipe instead of being shared between the heat pump and the bypass pipe. I deleted the bypass pipe and then the heat pump started working.

I'm not familiar with OS, but maybe in your second picture is there a bypass pipe in the "supply equipment" side?
