I try to run Energyplus directly from extracted zip folder (9.0.1 for window x86_x64 downloaded from energyplus.net). It shows the error with *.ocx file when i click to EP-lauch.exe app. I really like the portable install so please let me know how to get EP zip install run. Thank

It would be helpful if you posted the exact error message you see.

You mean the zip file that is available on the GitHub release page. That is not an installer. It's just an archival zip of the components. For EP-Launch, IDF Editor, and other windows applications to work properly, you must use the *Windowsx86_64.exe installer which is what the Windows (x64) button links to on the energyplus.net download page.

Would be very happy if could use them without installation

You would then need to register some OCX (and other) files by hand.
