Ventilation system as FMU in EnergyPlus

Hello everyone,

I would like to optimize ventilation systems through modelling. In that sense, I have been programming different models in Dymola Modelica. My goal is now to test these models through building simulation, using airflow network in EnergyPlus. I already have a model which works correctly regarding the air exchange between zones. The coupling between both softwares through FMU was successfully tested as well. My question regards, in this case, how the modelling approach for the data exchange should be.

Data from EnergyPlus to Modelica --> Room temperature, humidity, CO2, ambient conditions Data from Modelica to EnergyPlus --> Supply/Exhaust mass flow, supply air temperature The heating/cooling must be ideally modelled, representing the load profile to keep a desired indoor temperature. Ventilation system is INDEPENDENT of heating/cooling system (should be modelled separately).

As far as I have seen, EnergyPlus only allows me to model ONE HVAC system. This means, it is the ideal heating/cooling or the ventilation interface itself. Does anyone have an idea on how this modelling could be done? I have thought of modelling heating as internal loads, which I didn't try yet.
