Calculated values in beopt

Hello,

Was wondering if you could clarify why the calculated R-assembly values are not showing in the option editor. This makes it difficult to develop options with appropriate in-situ R-values. Please clarify how I can find out the actual value of the insulation that I'm using instead of just the nominal?

Thank you.

Note that the calculated R-assembly values in BEopt are illustrative values, not in-situ values, as they are calculated using default assumptions about the other layers of the construction (e.g., siding, drywall, etc.) and do not reflect selection changes to those layers made in the interface. This is because BEopt allows the selection of multiple options in parametric/optimization modes, so a single value cannot be calculated. If you read the tooltip for these calculated values, it will explain some of this.

The only way to see the actual in-situ R-assembly values would be look in the EnergyPlus input/output files.
