I want to perform a energy simulation, but need help with how to design the natural gas schedule? Which object controls the natural gas consumption related object?

I have experimental data related to natural gas consumption, how can I feed it into the energyplus file?

What appliances consume the natural gas?

Its used only for heating coil. My problem is the actual recorded data shows that natural gas consumption for one year peiod is only 0.55 GJ but my simulation predicts that it is 6.34 GJ. Therefore, I want to reflect this in my simulation. So how can I make this change? I want to feed actual recorded natural gas consumtpion data into my IDF.

The IDf also contains Electric heating euipment but my current prediction shows its contribution as 0% and the gas contribution as 2% when compared to overall energy prediction. I want to change it to Natural Gas as 0%

I want to completely stop the natural gas heating equipment and let the electric heating coil handle full load in the energy model. How can I achieve this or instead of completely shutting of natural gas coil, how can I feed actual data to it? please help

You can't feed in the natural gas usage. You will have to adjust the operation of the heating coils. Each coil has an availability schedule where you can turn it off. I am guessing that the NG heating coil wasn't used as you think it was (i.e., space temp allowed to float downward more than you think it did). You say that the IDF contains an electric heating coil. Does the real building have a NG and electric heating coil?

Yes the building has both the coil: NG coil and Electric. Electric is the main coil used for heating while, NG coil is the back up. But somehow in my model opposite has happened. Therefore, how can I reverse this?

EnergyPlus has a GasEquipment object, that can be associated with a schedule. Here is the documentation for it.

In my model currently I have electric heating coil and gas coil. I want to completely stop the gas coil and let electric coil handle all heating, how can I achieve this? Otherwise, instead of totally shutting off gas coil, I wanto to feed actual gas consumption data and make electric heating coil as main load carrying equipment for heating. How can I do this? Please help

You could use the object in this answer (the GasEquipment object) and provide a schedule of the gas usage (a fraction of the capacity) and then let the electric heating coil meet the remainder of the heating load. The schedule can be for the entire year. See the documentation for Schedule:File.
