Hello, I am a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the Undergraduate Architecture program. I have downloaded Sketchup 2015 and Open Studio 1.6 and Energy Plus Version 8.1, but I am having problems understanding how to model the solar radiation and internal heat gain in my versions. My toolbar is missing the icons to model and render these variables and I am having trouble understanding if this is a problem in what I've downloaded or if the version no longer measures this data. All of the video tutorials I've watched have been filmed with older versions so I am not sure what to expect with this version. I am very excited to run these simulations so I appreciate the help that anyone offer.

@pattea note that OS 1.6 requires EP 8.2 which is bundled with it.

Are you refering to the render by data feature of the legacy OpenStudio plug-in? Please refer to this post about that feature:

Note that these variables are still available in the underlying EnergyPlus results, they are just not viewable in the SketchUp plug-in in the current OpenStudio application suite. This document shows how to request outputs and view them in the ResultsViewer program.
