Modeling interior furnitures in Open Studio

While performing Energy Analysis, is it advisable to model interior furniture's as interior surfaces in Openstudio, as I have read somewhere that they delay the cooling load ? Do engineers consider interior furniture's or is the contribution of such surfaces very small ?

I think your are referring to the thermal mass of the furniture. You can search the web for thermal mass to find many articles. One such article is that one. You can find in appendix 4 some data about furniture thermal mass.
