simple windows method

Hello to all, I have to model the windows with openstudio. I read about a work by the Milan Polytechnic University, reliable source, that there are two approaches: one detailed and one simple. help me, thank you all.

If you are referring to simple or detailed surface geometry OpenStudio uses the FenstrationSurface:Detailed approach.

However you may be referring the the performance characteristics of the glazing, in which case OpenStudio has access to both WindowMaterial:SimpleGlazingSystem and the more detailed WindowMaterial:Glazing
