Hi guys, when I used the Surface Matching tool "Intersect in Entire model" in skp, a weird thing happened. Though it did split the surface into surfaces, the right side two still stay the same name and lead to connection failure. How come it happened? And how can I fix it? Many thanks!
Yeah, OS App measure works better than Sketchup plugin script.
Load your model in OS App, go to "Components & Measures > Find Measures" and look for "surface matching" under Envelope > Form (it's this measure on BCL). Check the box, click "Download".
Then use "Components & Measures > Apply Now" to apply this measure to your model:
My experience with it as been that it's indeed not 100% accurate. One problem is how you draw geometry if you use Sketchup. Sketchup has a bunch of rounding errors (one thing I always do is to set the precision to the maximum number of decimals before I draw), so sometimes surfaces aren't detected as being coplanar.

Thanks, Julien and rsunnam! That first link problem is what exactly I'm struggling in. But I don't know guys mention about " using the measures" could help solve the issue. I'm new in this forum. Does that mean you should not intersection the model in skp plug-in place? How to do so? Thanks for your kind help.
