Having difficulty with accurately assigning the construction set for my model. I included details below. Does anyone know what I am missing or doing incorrectly?

I went to my library and loaded in "90_1_2010.osm" from my "resources" folder and have loaded the "90.1-210 Office- ASHRAE 169-2006-4A" into my construction sets from "my library" which is in line with the climate zone that I want for my model and the room type. The issue now is that I do not have any specific construction sets like "exterior wall" and such for 90.1-2010. In my 'Library", I do see specific construction sets like "exterior wall" and such for 189.1-2009. So I don't understand why I don't have them for 90.1-2010. I tried to download these specific sets for 90.1-2010 from my BCL but when I search for it all I could find was for 90.1-2007. I have attached a screenshot below to explain better. When I go to my space tab all of the constructions are not in green text so I know something is definitely not correct.

@Valentina Rappa that looks like a bug in the template OSM files for 90.1 2010. The interior wall, is working as expected, there isn't a custom insulation value, but there should be for the exterior wall. What version of OpenStudio are you using? If you are using 2.4.0 or earlier then you can download and run the Space Type and Construction set Wizard. That measure has not been updated yet to work with OpenStudio 2.5.0.

You should have a construction named "Typical Insulated Exterior Mass Wall R-9.62" that is set for exterior walls in the construction set.

Updated 2.5.0 work around:
If you have 2.5.0 follow these steps. "Load from Library" but instead of using the default directory that 2.5.0 points you to, direct it to the resources directory in 2.4.0, which on a mac would like something like this "/Applications/OpenStudio-2.4.0/OpenStudioApp.app/Contents/Resources". On mac it is is within the application, so you may have to use finder to "show package contents" then copy to a directory you can browse to more easily from the OpenStudio application.

If you use the old resource file object names will be different, than if you use the space type and construction set wizard measure.
- Construction Set will be named "90.1-2010 - CZ4 - Office"
- Construction will be named "ASHRAE 90.1-2010 ExtWall Mass ClimateZone 4"

Hello David,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I have OpenStudio 2.5.0 installed on my computer. Is there no other workaround for this issue with 2.5.0? Do you think its worth it for me to uninstall 2.5.0 and install 2.4.0?

@Valentina Rappa I realized after more digging that the templates in 2.4.0 were just building type names like "office.osm" that contained all standards, while 2.5.0 was re-generated by standard.

You don't have to un-install 2.5.0, see updates to my answer above.

@David Goldwasser I tried following your steps, but I am a little confused. I don't have the resource directory of OpenStudio 2.4.0 because I only have 2.5.0 downloaded on my computer. I don't understand how I would be able to access 2.4.0 on my laptop. I am on a Mac and in my Applications folder, I only have OpenStudio-2.5.0. Thank you, Valentina.

@Valentina Rappa Here is a link to resources for 2.4.0 on GitHub.com. You can right click and save the template for any building type. Then load it as a library. This will avoid you having to install 2.4.0 just to access those files.
