Why could the EnergyPlus Run Status reported Elapsed Time not equal the Total elapsed clock time?

I have an energy plus run that took a couple days to complete. I started to simulation at night one day, it ran the entire next day and was still running when I left it that night - the next morning, I got to the computer and received the EnergyPlus Run Status message.

When it completed successfully, the EnergyPlus Run Status message reports the Elapsed Time at 04hr 20min 25.54sec. It reports the Total elapsed clock time of -70278(seconds). That number of seconds equates to ~19.5 hours, which may be in the ballpark(still seems too low), however please Note the negative sign preceding the seconds value!

My computer power setting are set to "never sleep" when plugged in and when on battery, on my Windows 10 laptop. Any ideas what is happening with these reported values?

Is there any way I may have inadvertently paused the Eplus process without realizing it?

Are you running the simulation on a network drive, or a drive with cloud backup such as dropbox? If you are, try running to local drive only.

@David Goldwasser, thanks for this idea. The file is located on local drive of my laptop.
