I am having trouble executing the "Create Baseline Building" measure on a number of OpenStudio models in versions 2.3 and 2.4. Previous iterations of these models (e.g., based on OS version 1.14) seemed to execute the "Create Baseline Building" measure just fine. I have tried differeing Building Types (e.g., Small, Medium, Large Office) and different Standards (2007, 2010, and 2013) without any luck.

An example of the error message I receive is as follows:

This looks like a bug. I'm working on the openstudio-standards gem now. Could you email me one of the test models that you are running that is failing?

Thanks for your help, Andrew. What's your email address?

@ethankheil did you send me the model? I want to make sure it didn't get stuck in a spam filter.

I sent it last night, sorry for the delay

In case anyone else hits this same error, the problem was that one of the Thermal Zones in the model had a " (quotation mark) character in the name. This extra symbol broke the equipment sizing query that was extracting the HVAC airflows and capacities from the sql file.

Interesting. Are there other characters that might cause this? The only special characters I have are colons and dashes.

I'd have to think about it more, but mainly just ' and " marks, because those have special meaning in SQL queries.

Interesting. I guess mine is a different issue. I'll post the solution if I figure it out.

If you have a different failure email me your model if you don't mind. Id like this to be robust, so files that don't work help find issues

@aparker, if you are interested in investigating my model, I would love to hear what you find. You can find the model here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xsvqm0bvse....
