High cooling load
Hello all,
I’m simulating a datacenter and the simulation shows a high cooling load. The internal equipment load is 276,3 Kw from racks and the cooling load is 362,97 Kw. Why this happen? How can I find this extra load? The Simulation has a measure that shows all loads from a zone. (Second image)
About the model:
Construction External wall: All external wall is adiabatic - no Sun and no Wind
Internal Loads People: zero
Infiltration: zero
Outdoor Air: zero
Equipment: 276,3 Kw (total)
Equipment Schedule (fraction): 1
Light: 11.84 W/m² Office_IT_Room Lights
Setpoint:
Datahall: 27C
Central Cooling Design Supply Air Temperature: 14C

Thank's!

Did you check all the other loads for the space - Lighting, occupancy (if any), infiltration (if any), outside air supply to the system?
Hi @rsunnam! Yes! I've checked all loads.
On your chart you show Total (sensible + latent). In your table you only show sensible. I suspect a constant latent load is the difference. can you show more evidence to support there is zero infiltration and outside air loads
Also, which cooling coil is shown in the plot? (Just to make sure that we are looking at the terminal cooling coil for the 00-CPD zone). I would first make sure that the coil is not hardsized in the model. Then as Tom mentioned, I would check for latent loads within the zone. (Check for the "Fraction Latent" for the "ElectricEquipment" objects, maybe?)
Of Corse! I'll add the file in a link.
Guys! The problem is just in the simples unit conversion.
