Hi ALL ,

I am currently working in project to optimize energy consumption and use renewable energy sources.

my case study is to model MULTI residential building in design builder and generate idf files using energy plus.

and then link it with renewable energy source.

I am thinking to use BCVTB to link between energy plus and RES.

My question is which software i can use it to model renewable energy sources and link it with BCVTB ??

why do you need to link them? Will your renewable energy source be responding to some aspect of the building?

You could model the renewables in Modelica with the Buildings library, export the Modelica model as an FMU (JModelica generates FMU by default) and import this FMU into EnergyPlus using its FMU import facility. Conversely, you could export EnergyPlus as an FMU and import it into a Modelica modeling environment.
