Hi,

I'm a new user to Open studio ver 2.3.0 and Sketch Up make 2017. I had already look through the tutorial videos and also the documentation for Open studio Quickstart file (http://nrel.github.io/OpenStudio-user...). But I am trying to find a more detailed explanation of Open studio software that explains more on the features and tools used instead of a quickstart file only.

So where can I look for a more detailed documentation for Open studio? Since the quick start file only shows a brief explanation with no details

Thank you

There is more on the documentation website than just the Quick Start guide: https://nrel.github.io/OpenStudio-use...

After You master the basic use of the GUI it is crucial to understand that OS is a frontend for EnergyPlus. In that sense you can use the E+ Input output reference as a guide for the different object that you might need to add to your model. As you already find out the UnmetHours forum is a great source for answers to questions you might have. My experience with learning OS has taught me that it is continuous learning while trying to implement your model. So whenever I am trying to implement new object into my model I am starting by searching the UnmetHours forum since many answers are very thorough and actually explains how to do things, then I read the relevant chapter in the E+ Input output reference. Finally, if I need I will dig into the Engineering Reference. One big step to get over is HVAC implementation in OS, since that question was asked before I will recommend on reading that post.
