I am sure this is a simple answer, but I am having trouble adding a four pipe distribution system into the zones. Eventually I am working toward a DOAS with Four-pipe distribution connected to a chiller and boiler. At the moment I have basically followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-L9H... to add a ventilation system. I added the four pipe fan coils in the thermal zone tab and I linked them to the different cold and hot water plant loops. I'm getting an error associated with the mechanical ventilation controller. Is this something that can be solved in OpenStudio? I tried randomly assigning a zone to the controller in the .idf file but I ran into additional errors.

Right now the geometry is very simple, and I'm just trying to better understand all of the objects and connections that need to be made to make the four-pipe distribution work. Maybe I'm not looking in the right locations, but I haven't found much documentation.

Checkout this thread about mechanical ventilation controller errors. It is possible that the errors you see are unrelated to the four pile fan fan coils.

I am able to cross off all the items except: "The model has an Airloop with an OA intake system, but none of the zones connected to the Airloop have a DesignSpecificationOutdoorAir object." Is this object editable in OpenStudio?

Add a Design Specification Outdoor air object to one of the spaces or space types used in the air loop. You can see this on the thermal zone grid view on this page. You can add an object with a "0" flow-rate value.

Alternately you can remove the outdoor air object from the air loop.

Thanks David, I think this was the issue. For the sake of anyone else who might be as big a novice as me, I got the system to work by dropping the Four Pipe Fan Coil Units into each zone on the thermal zone tab and then linking them back to the hot water and chilled water loops. Air is supplied separately through a DOAS with uncontrolled diffusers for each zone.
