OpenStudio/ SketchUp - Euclid for Exporting gbxml files from DOE Prototype Models
Trying to export gbxml files from DOE Prototype Models to DesignBuilder. https://www.energycodes.gov/developme...
I updated the IDF files to version 8.7 to work with the new Sketchup Euclid extension, but I couldn't find a free plugin to export the gbxml file. is there supposed to be one?
when I try to use OpenStudio, I keep getting an error : The collection is INVALID at strictness level 'Draft', because of the errors: Field level data error of type DataType . Error is in an object of type 'AvailabilityManager:NightCycle', named 'PACU_VAV_bot Availability Manager', in field 5. Additional information about the error type: field-level data is of an incorrect type.
any idea on how this can be done?

Thanks Anna, I have IDF files from which I want to extract gbXML files, I’m only using SketchUP for that purpose. I cant find relevant answers in the two old posts under the links you shared:
The 1st post refers to a webinar, in minute 31:30 it shows how the old OpenStudio plugin (now replaced by the new Euclid plugin) used to export gbXML, this used to be under SketchUP menue: Extensions – OpenStudio – Export.
The 2nd post mainly says that there are two ways to export gbXML file: 1- From OpenStudio plugin: I have Euclid plugin installed, it doesn’t have the same export to gbXML function as the old OpenStudio plugin 2- From: the stand alone OpenStudio application: When I use open studio application (not SketchUP plugin) I keep getting the error I mentioned when I try to pen the IDF files posted on DOE website.
@nu energy , Openstudio should be able to export a gbXML file. If you are running into the strictness level 'Draft', can you check that the values in the IDF file for these objects are correctly entered using IDFeditor? In the past, I had an issue with "Unit Type" field under ScheduleTypeLimits object when I tired this export to OSM file. It should be highlighted in orange if there is an issue there.
Just to clarify, the Legacy OpenStudio plugin (now Euclid) has never had the ability to export gbXML. (We didn't take it away.) That is only a feature of the newer OpenStudio plugin that you get when you install the OpenStudio application.
