I would like to install previous versions of Results Viewer (preferably version 0.9).

Would you please let me know how I can access to download Results Viewer version 0.9 or previous versions?

@Mahdi Ghodsi why do you need Results Viewer? Does DView (the tool that replaced Results Viewer in OpenStudio) not have specific functionalities that you require?

This is obviously unsupported, but you can grab older OpenStudio installers from here, run the installer, and only select Results Viewer from the list of install options, like so:

image description

After installing, you'll see a new application program group for that version of OpenStudio, with just Results Viewer in there.

Again, this process is not officially endorsed or supported, and comes with a couple caveats:

  • I'm not entirely sure how far back you'll need to go to find a copy of Results Viewer with the smoothing function enabled (I made those plots you referenced in your original post a while ago).
  • Newer versions of radout.sql and eplusout.sql may (will?) cause these old Results Viewer apps to complain or malfunction

Also, don't forget there are other ways to skin this cat. Lots of other visualization options out there, if you're willing to delve into R or matplotlib, or to spelunk the Javascript cave(s)...

I think it's worth noting D-view can read the eplusout.sql file. (that's probably obvious, but I missed it). I'm working on a Mac, so ReadVarsEso utility doesn't work. I was also interested in keeping results viewer until I realized you can read the sql file with D-view (again, probably obvious but maybe not if you are a newbie).

The issue is that DView cannot read illuminance map data from the eplusout.sql file.
