Sketchup 2018 compatability

Same, Sketchup 2018 doesnt recognize this rb. Not sure what to do.

Unfortunately, you can't run both Euclid and Openstudio. You have to remove one of the two.

I am not running Euclid. I am only trying to use Openstudio for a class project

I can second @lukanuts - moving the .rb file does not appear to work, and I didn't see a .rbz file. I would counter though that Euclid and OS can both be installed; but they both cannot be enabled in SU at the same time. Disable one, restart SU, enable other, restart SU to switch plugins. Unless something changed (hoping not....major issue if so).

@David Goldwasser - any ideas on the OS v2.6.0 install to get the SU 2018 plugin to work? If I move the OS directory and OpenStudio.rb to C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2018\Tools nothing shows up in SU extension manager (cont)

if I save the same OS directory and OpenStudio.rb into C:\Users\daricadair\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2018\SketchUp\Plugins; the extension will show up in the SU Extension manager, but no menus or anything appear on toolbar>Extensions>....no OS options.

@Peter Ellis Hello. I also tried to install OpenStudio for Sketchup 2018 following instruction you added link. However, I cannot find any rbz file which is required by Extension Manager. Can you tell me which file in OpenStudio folder should be selected for Install Extension? Thank you.

@katsuya.obara The Extension Manager instructions are only for Euclid, not OpenStudio. OpenStudio is not installed using an rbz file anymore. Euclid does still use an rbz file which you can download from the Euclid web page.

@Peter Ellis How do I get the plug in to work? My openstudio rb. file is in the Tools SketchUp folder but I still don't see them in the application

I expect for Euclid that you can follow similar advise to the link above for manually copying the plugin from 2017 to 2018. Hopefully @Aaron Boranian or @Peter Ellis can clarify

Epic. I'll give it a go and see. Major bummer on the free Sketchup Make going away. Used that for personal stuff extensively, but I digress... thanks for the information @David Goldwasser

@dradair, If you're personal work doesn't require plugins, the web based SketchUp is fully functional, and quick, and offers some collaboration functionality.

Yeah, personal stuff doesn't need plug-ins. Woodworking & project drawings for home. Easy enough.
