overhangs- solid or louvered

I'm using Openstudio 1.14.

I'm wondering- when I 'add overhang by projection factor', is it making a solid shading object or the kind of louvered overhangs usually seen on commercial buildings?

No, it's a flat, solid filled polygon. It also ends at the edge of the window and does not project past the window opening so they only provide the full projection factor cutoff when the sun is perpendicular to the facade.
