Hello. I'd like to ask you how to set setpoints of heating coil? I made a idf file with AirLoopHVAC, and AirLoopHVAC consists of fan, cooling coil, and heating coil. In Sizing:Zone, I put [Zone Cooling Design Supply Air Temperature] 12.5C, and put [Zone Heating Design Supply Air Temperature] 50C. Also I checked [Rated Outlet Air Temperature] is set as 32.2C in Class List [Coil:Heating:Water]

However I found out Mixed air temperature didn't change after went through the heating coil. (heating coil inlet air temp=18, and heating coil outlet coil temp doesn't change at all) So I checked heating coil water flow rate, and water flow rate=0kg/s.

I wanted to set heating coil outlet temperature 30C, and I expected that heating water flow rate would be automatically changed in order to reach set point 30C, but it didn't work. So I can I fix heating coil operation as I intend? please help!!

The Zone Heating Supply Air Temperature is for the purpose of sizing the zone heating air flow. The "Rated Outlet Air Temperature" is used to infer the physical size of the heating coil. Neither of those are for control purpose.

To control water coil outlet air temperature in AirLoopHVAC, you need to used Controller:WaterCoil object associated with Setpoint Manager object to set the water coil outlet node temperature setpoint. You can refer to 5ZoneVAV-ChilledWaterStorage-Mixed.IDF in the EnergyPlus ExampleFiles folder for how to do that.
