Openstudio Space Types vs. Spaces

Hi, I would like to model a school with several types of spaces (classrooms, computer rooms etc). Each of the spaces has the same maximum load but different schedules. On the space types tab I can define for each of the space types the loads, however I don't have a default schedule for each type, as each classroom has a different timetable. On the Spaces tab, under sub-tab "properties" I inserted for each space their unique schedule set (see attached picture). However when I opened the sub-tab "loads" I discovered that the loads and schedules are defined like the spaces types.

How can I make sure that each of the spaces gets its unique schedule set? Thank you

Should I just create a different space type for each room? or is there another way to not use the default schedule defined in space types? Thank you!

It is up to you how you want to define it.

You can make and populate a space type for each space, but that likely means lots of duplication.

Spaces inherit objects from space types, and these will show up in green in the space tab. You can override these simply by dragging and dropping new schedules or loads into the spaces tab.

So the way I would approach it is to create a space type that includes all the loads you want per general space type (e.g. classroom, office), and then make a different default schedule set for each space that you apply by drag and drop in the Space -> Properties -> General tab. That looks to be how you have it set up in the space properties.JPG image in your post. It seems that you need to edit your 003a Schedule Set to match the schedules for room 003a, just like you did with room 002.

If so, I have done this but as I look in the Space->Loads->General I see the inherited properties in green (your comment regarding 003a schedule set - it's defined correctly but again what you see in green is the inherited and not what's defined in properties). The question is what is used by energyplus? what appears in green?

By "that cell" you mean the schedule sets which are defined in Space->Properties->General or what is shown in green in Space->Loads->General? Thank you!

In this case, how can I edit these loads schedules in Space->Loads to be individual for each space? Because the schedules shown on Space->Loads are inherited from space types, and I want them to be individual for each space, as I defined in Space->Properties. How can this be achieved? Thank you!
