I want to calculate the energy used in a day or month for a house having 2 rooms, 2 fans, 4 light bulbs, one fridge and one AC. How can I do that in energy plus?

Since it sounds like you're new to building energy modeling, I recommend BEopt, which is a user friendly interface for residential modeling that runs EnergyPlus.

There could easily be hundreds of inputs to the small/simple building you describe, so you'll want to also read and/or watch the documentation associated with the software.

I also believe that Matthew Steen is right for starting with BEopt for modeling the house. BEopt is easy to use for the residential house. For calculating the energy use of different appliances and building, use Output:Variable of EnergyPlus. You can refer InputOutput reference of EnergyPlus to obtain the energy consumption of appliances. You can also schedule loads of house and change the cooling setpoint of AC using the schedule option of EnergyPlus.
