DOAS enhancements in eQUEST ?

asked 2017-08-23 21:27:27 -0600

A pre-conference workshop at ASHRAE BPA 2017 will present new features of eQUEST and DOE-2, including a new stand-alone dedicated outdoor system and a detailed variable refrigerant flow system model. Are there any details available about the most recent DOAS enhancement in eQUEST? Any information on when a new version of eQUEST will be released? Thanks,

A DOE-2.3 version has already been posted on doe2.com. This document provides information about the new features in DOE-2.3, including the DOAS enhancement. I hope this helps!

It appears that when you select DOE-2.3 in eQUEST and reopen it, the DOAS enhancement is still not included in eQUEST 3.65. Does anyone know when this will be added to eQUEST?

@anchapin, I don't know exactly but you can find a test version of the new release on DOE-2's website. You might run into some issues though... If you don't want to have to run into some issues perhaps it would be best to wait for the general release.

The most recent version of eQuest build 7175 was released in Oct 2018. It was my understanding that this version was supposed to incorporate a new system type DOAS, but I don't see it in the list of HVAC system types. Has anyone be able to use a new feature "DOAS" in eQuest? Thanks!

@Anna with the most recent version of eQUEST (build 7175) I've been able to create a system with system type of "DOAS" if you go to Tools, Select DOE2 Version (At Next eQUEST Startup), and select DOE 2.3. You then need to close and reopen eQUEST.
