Openstudio Capable Model Size

Hi, I am going to be modeling an entire community college campus. Will openstudio be able to handle around 11 buildings with most of them being 3 floors. This will also include two central plants. My concern is openstudio either lagging or crashing due to the size of the model.

We don't recommend modeling multiple buildings within a single model. A separate interface called URBANopt is intended for these sorts of applications and coordinates multiple OpenStudio models representing individual buildings and central plants. It will be made publicly available over the next year.

So what would be the downside of modeling multiple buildings within a single model?

I'd also love to hear the answer to that question. I assume the answer is complexity.

Simulation performance for one, but also if you want to apply measures to ONE of the buildings you have to re-run ALL of them.
