I must perform a leed certification for a proposed building in which there is a hot water circuit connected to a solar collector. How do I have to model it in the baseline building? I have seen that in Table 7.8 there are some indications for electric water heaters but I find nothing about solar collectors.

What do your solar collectors serve? Is there a backup heater?

The solar collectors serve the DHW circuit; there is an integrated electric resistance because the solar power is insufficient.

You would model the baseline DHW as having the backup source, so electric heat in your case. And probably with a tank too.

G2.4 and the User's Manual may help. See also this question.

Everything is clear. Thank you for the answer and the link to the other question, they were both useful.
