When modeling in OpenStudio, I am using the generic or default values provided by OpenStudio. I think compare the output to my Energy Use Intensity for a typical such building in California using CEUS and my modeling values come in much higher. Any idea as to why?

'much higher' as it, 10%? 15% 20%? In the end, both are approximations, probably based of different sets of data.

It is coming-in at 3 times or more the expected EUI. I am modeling for Coastal Southern California, so it anything, it should be less than the EUI given dramatically less demand for HVAC in this region.

What's the EUI end-use breakout, is it the distribution you're expecting?
