Hello, I'm new to use Openstudio. I have a problem about the setpoint of temperatures. I want a simple Air Loop without heating and cooling that can take the outside air. The problem is that I want that it take air just when the outside air temperature is useful. I explain: I want inside a temperature range from 15° to maximum 20°C so the outside air must enter just when 1- inside temperature is less than 15°C and outside temperature is higher than inside air temperature; 2- inside temperature is higher than 20°C and outside temperature is less than inside temperature;

if there aren't these cases then the ventilation are not necessary and the plant doesn't must take the outside air.

For having this plant I need two thermostats that check the temperature and that working together: one inside and one outside. Is it possible?

I Hope that even with my bad English you can still understand ... Thanks for any help

I'm curious as to your application - why do you have no ventilation requirement? Are you controlling only temperature in the space and have no outdoor air requirement? I suggest reading the outdoor air controller (economizer) object definition in EnergyPlus.

Hi, thanks for reply. My application is just a simulation of storage; so I don't need a comfortable climate for human. I just need to check how much I can mitigate temperature without a plant of climatization. I try to change the parameters of "Controller: outdoor air" but seems doesn't change nothing.

Have you considered Zone Ventilation Design Flow Rate? Seems like most direct solution. Possible you could make an air loop with outdoor air and an econmizer, but without any conditioning equipment, but that isn't something I have tried.
