linking Genopt with TRNSYS for optimization

I have downloaded the Genopt 2.0.0. I'm going to use Genopt for optimization in TRNSYS.

In the TrnOpt settings, I have used the directory where the GenOpt.class is located. But running the example of optimization, it can not find the genopt program. I have tried it by locating genopt in other drives also, but it doesn't work. Do you have any comment for me ?

The error is :

Genopt could not be found, please check the directory in settings

There are a few things to check:

  • Make sure that your version of TrnOpt is compatible with GenOpt 2.0.0.
  • Make sure that you have followed the directory format exactly as displayed in the manual - either including the \ or not including the \ at the end.
  • Make sure that you have administrator permissions for all of the folders.
