During creation of geometry I can use the surface and its associated properties to represent floor, floorceiling and walls. Now how do I represent floor covering? It doesn't need to be in the geometry its one of the properties of the floor.

Is there a standard resource object I could look into to represent it. Please help.

Floor coverings are just additional material layers that you add to constructions.
