I'm just curious! The OpenStudio Planned Features page says it's scheduled for release in October 2016, so I was wondering if the version is already out?

Oops. Thanks for bringing to my attention that I need to update the release schedule page! As you might imagine, going from 1.x to 2.0 is kind of a big deal. There's been a huge amount of work under the hood to remove dependencies, rebuild example apps around the new OpenStudio Command Line Interface (CLI), and completely rework PAT to bring it in line with how OpenStudio Server approaches parametric analysis. The software just wasn't ready in October, and needed a bit longer in the oven.

We're currently planning to officially release our first (preview) version with the 2.x tag in the third week of December. We will also be releasing a version designated 1.14.0 at the same time for the less adventurous. The 1.x series will be laid to rest in March when the final (non-preview) version of 2.0.0 will be available. Note that all of the 2.x development is publicly available via GitHub right now if you're dying to get your hands on it. Just be aware that the team is working through a pretty large list of bugs as we head into code freeze a couple weeks from now.
