I have assigned the entire model on 1 thermal zone so that i can run my model in order to generate the window to wall ratio . However the simulation is showing error messages and is always showing "failed" at 75 %.

At a minimum the thermal zone should have one or more spaces, those spaced should have surfaces, and the surfaces need constructions. Lastly you need an epw file.

For specific information on why your simulation is failing look at OpenStudio troubleshooting documentation.

And a thermostat...

@ljbrackney you can run without a thermostat if you don't have an HVAC system. This is done sometimes for passive design studies. HVAC systems and internal loads are optional, but surfaces and constructions are required. Generally a weather file is also required except in special cases.
