How to find condenser water loop in OpenStudio?

I'm new to OpenStudio and cannot find the condenser water loop associated with the water-cooled chilled water loop I already have as the plant loop. Those 'handles' above/below the chiller icon I've seen others reference as the way to drill down to the condenser water loop do not appear. I've tried multiple OS files, adding/deleting water-cooled chillers, etc. I'm sure it's just a click away I just gave up.

If your water cooled chiller is connected to a condenser loop:

Little circles will appear on the chiller. Clicking these circles will take you to the condenser loop.

If your water cooled chiller is not connected to a condenser loop:

Make sure your model has a condenser loop. Switch between loops in the model using the dropdown in the upper right of the HVAC tab. If you don't have a condenser loop in the model, use the green + button to either:

  • Create a blank loop and add a cooling tower, pump, and setpoint manager, or
  • Create one of the template systems that has a condenser loop and delete the extraneous other loops. This method has the advantage of having the loop already set up.

Next, select your condenser loop and connect your chiller:

  1. Click My Model in right column
  2. Click Chiller Electric EIR
  3. Drag the chiller that's already in your model onto the demand (bottom) half of the condenser loop
  4. You should now see the circles on the chiller indicating that it is connected
