EnergyPlus and BCVTB interface problem

I am new to BCVTB and I tried to change the example schedule problem of BCVTB. Instead of controlling temperature, I tried to control the lights. For that, I created an object named 'control lights' in external interface and included that object in schedule of Lights. In output variable as well, I created an object with the key value as 'control lights' and variable name as 'Schedule Value' in the first case and ' Lights Electric Power' in the second case.I also changed in variable.cfg file as well in both cases. I need the Lights Electric Power data to be used in Control actions but I am unable to get it. Am i missing something??
