How to set Seasonal Operation of Radiant Equipment

I want my radiant floor to only heat during the winter nights and only cool during the summer nights.

I have a separate air-system in this space so I cannot manipulate the zone setpoints for control without adversely affecting my air-side equipment operation.

What I am confused by is that whenever I set my radiant cooling manager availability to be off during the winter, my radiant heating shuts off in the winter too even though they are on separate loops with separate availability manager schedules!

I've tried messing with separate pump availability schedules, but once again, if my cooling pump is set to off, so too is my heating pump, even though these are on separate loops. How do I get my radiant heating and cooling to operate independently? What am I missing?

This project is in EnergyPlus v8.5

One thing that might be useful to know is that low-flow radiant systems in EnergyPlus don't follow the heating and cooling setpoints in the zone's thermostat. Instead, they follow the setpoint schedules defined inside the radiant systems themselves. Because of this quirk, you may be able to just use the approach of modifying those setpoint schedules as you originally thought.

Yes! Thank you. I was able to set my radiant min and max control temperature setpoints to vary by season to really low and high numbers - it's working now without affecting my regular thermostat setpoints. Thank you!

I encountered the same problem. Could you tell me a little bit more about how to set control temperatures in single heated radiant system? How to set cooling temperatures values in winter? Thank you so much!

I had to make sure that I had separate schedules defined for the radiant systems cooling/heating high/low control temperatures and ensure that my cooling high control temp schedule was set very high during the winter (like 50C) and something reasonable during the summer (like 22C). The cooling low control temp was similar where I set it to 19C during the summertime and 49C during the winter. I had to do the opposite for the radiant heating high temperature (set to 22C in winter, 3C in summer) and the radiant heating low control temp was set to 20C during winter and 0C during the summer.
